Embodying Shakespeare w/ John Douglas Thompson

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

Experience John Douglas Thompson’s innovative and uniquely effective method for unlocking the language and spirit of Shakespearean for today’s actor.

Working on prepared scenes, the class size is deliberately limited to ten actors to ensure that every actor gets ample time to work in class.

We are confident that once you take this workshop, you will never approach classical text any other way.

John Douglas Thompson is the recipient of a Lucille Lortel Award, an Outer Critics Circle Award, two Drama Desk Awards and three Obie Awards, as well as being nominated for a Tony Award. The man New York Times critic Ben Brantley describes as “one of the most compelling classical stage actors of his generation”….
