EMERGING PROFESSIONALS
WHO IS IT FOR?
This class is for the actor with previous training in basic technique, but who now needs more sophisticated practice in utilizing those skills to interpret scripts and create characters with greater confidence and reliability.
Whether you are an early-careerist, coming to NYC post-college, returning to the profession after a hiatus, or just want to get the rust off and strengthen your technique to get in professional shape, this class is designed for you.
WHO WILL BE TEACHING?
Our faculty possesses a collective knowledge and expertise that enables them to achieve rare quality and results.
None of our classes are delegated to novice teachers.
Some of the same teachers who teach the advanced and master classes will teach the Next Level class, including the Head of the Studio, Scott Freeman.

WHAT WILL BE TAUGHT?
We believe that an actors' primary job is to discover who the writer needs them to be within the story that will be told.
Towards that goal, actors are partnered and assigned scenes from plays, films and television. Outside rehearsal is required and scenes are presented in class at an advanced level of exploration.
Class is focused on a deeper use of technique as well as strengthening individual weak points and providing a greater understanding of professional expectations on stage or set.
As the actor continues in class, practicing their technique scene after scene, their abilities in seeing what is required of them and how they can access the emotional and intellectual lives of their characters increases, as does the speed in which they are able to do that. This positions them to become more efficient and successful when receiving audition sides and in rehearsal and performance.
Because the work is prescriptive, class size is limited to 12 actors to ensure maximum personal attention.
THE GOAL
Emerging Professionals’s goal is to give each actor ownership of a describable, reliable personal technique that will serve and sustain them for a long career.
HOW DO I APPLY?
Acceptance is by interview and audition only.
A maximum of 12 actors will be selected for each class. As we are investing in actors’ careers, a strong peer level is paramount. To inquire and/or apply, please contact us.

Class will meet once a week for six weeks.

Saturdays 2pm to 5:30pm

Emerging Professionals is a six-week on-going class, offered on a continuous basis of six-week sessions. Once you are enrolled in the class, you may renew your spot. If you give it up, and wish to rejoin, you will be placed on the wait-list for the next cycle. Actors who have completed the class may also be eligible to enroll in our On-Camera classes & Workshops. In addition, some actors may eventually be eligible to enroll in our advanced on-going Scene Study,
